My journey towards holistic health began in my early twenties after a roller-derby injury gifted me with chronic back pain. It was then that yoga and wholesome eating was introduced into my life as a way to heal. Now that I am a mom to my sweet baby girl, it was only natural that my love for yoga, food, and mamas blend together and Warrior Mama Wellness was born. I integrate yoga, nutrition & health coaching to empower expecting & new moms to have a healthy pregnancy and post-partum experience.
I provide you with the tools and resources you need in every stage pregnancy and beyond for a healthy, happy experience. My prenatal and postnatal yoga classes are powerful, balancing, and playful. I create a supportive environment that allows for a deeper understanding of the magical relationship between mother and baby, while inviting joy and laughter. I utilize aromatherapy, light touch, gentle asana, and guided mediation to bring awareness to the breath and womb space. My hope is that you step off the mat feeling fierce, renewed, empowered and connected.

Expecting moms need to know how to have a healthy pregnancy, and I can help! I use yoga, nutrition and health coaching to empower and educate pregnant and post-partum mama goddesses  with simple ways they can create a healthy womb environment, enhance their baby’s growth and development, minimize the risk of health issues, and create a strong and lasting bond with their baby.

Currently, I am a student Postpartum Doula, training through Maternity Wise and student Placenta Specialist with the International Placenta and Postpartum Association, IPPA. I am a Dr. Sears Wellness certified Pregnancy Health Coach for mama and baby. I had the wonderful opportunity to take my level 1 training in Prenatal Yoga at Baba Hari Dass’s Mt Madonna Yoga Center and will complete level 2 in June 2016 with Hannah Muse (RPYT). I have also studied the prenatal Kriya yoga lineage under swami Camella Nair. In 2015, I completed my 200 hr Integral Awakening Yoga Teacher & Advanced Studies Certification (RYT) from Seaside Yoga Sanctuary, which voted best yoga studio for 6 years in a row in Monterey, CA, with the lovely Laura McKinnon and Mahindra Briksha. I graduated Cum Laude with my Bachelor’s in Psychology from California State University Monterey Bay in 2011 and quickly continued on to become certified as a Holistic Health Coach (CHC) from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I have been gluten free for almost 5 years now and became Tier 1 Certified as a Gluten Free Practitioner to be better equipped to understand, identify, and treat mamas with gluten sensitivity issues.

048A0253I live in Monterey, Ca with my fiancé, baby girl, dog and 2 cats. I can be found hiking local trails, cooking yummy meals for my family and friends, spending time with other mamas, drinking chai lattes, enjoying all the beauty of living on the central coast, and loving my baby girl!

“When I found out I was pregnant I wanted to make sure that I was eating the best possible things for my growing babies.  So naturally I looked to Ashleigh for guidance and advice on how to become a happier and healthier version of myself.  She has helped to influence how I think about food, more as nourishment and medicine for my body.  I learned to eliminate unhealthy, unnecessary additives, and chemicals from my diet.  Luckily since I decided to take charge of my health, my family benefitted too. After my boys were born, she helped to devise a meal plan that was healthy for a nursing mom that needed to bulk up.  In following these guidelines I was able to reach my goal  and successfully supply my boys with breast milk until their first birthday!! Not only that, I was back to my pre-pregnancy self in no time. I attribute  my success to both a change in my lifestyle, but also the guidance and support from Ashleigh along the way.”
